It emerged yesterday that popular McDonalds clown Ronald McDonald is currently being treated for depression.
Ronald who was a huge star with both the adults and children in the 1960s right through to the 1990s is said to be feeling very low after realising that he is no longer the biggest clown on the planet.
A close friend has said that Ronald was devastated when Donald Trump became president of the U.S.
“We noticed that something wasn’t right with Ronald when Donald took over. The signs were there. He just wasn’t his normal cheery self. We just thought he was a little unhappy, we had no idea he was quietly spiralling down into severe depression.”
“But when Boris Johnson became the prime minister of the U.K…. That was it for poor Ronald. He hit rock bottom.”
Ronald had been seen visiting the Santa Monica Clinic For Sad And Unhappy Clowns where he has been receiving treatment for his depression.
A clinic insider who wishes to remain anonymous told our reporter that Ronald had been prescribed powerful anti-represent tablets and receiving treatment as an outpatient but since Boris Johnson – real name Boris The Buffoon – became prime minister of the U.K. Ronald was admitted for psychiatric observation.
“He even had a visit from his old friend the Hamburglar, he ran around pretending to steal cheeseburgers from people but poor old Ronald wasn’t interested. He just sat there, staring out of the window with a vacant sad look painted on his face.”
Ronald’s family have gathered around to support him at this hard time.
Presient Trump and prime minister Johnson were not available to comment. They were probably out somewhere performing at children’s parties.
